Static cupping mostly uses horn/suction cups while dynamic cupping uses a combination of cups including silicone cups.
Contraindications for cupping are: pregnancy, organ failure, pacemaker, bleeding disorders, such as hemophilia, cancer, open wounds, bone fractures, and areas of deep vein thrombosis.
What is an infrared sauna and what are the benefits and contraindications?
Infrared saunas utilize infrared heaters that emit infrared light, which is absorbed by the skin and heats the body from the inside out. Infrared saunas are believed to offer numerous potential health benefits, including improved circulation, detoxification, pain relief, relaxation, and skin health. Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air, infrared saunas heat the body directly, allowing for lower temperatures and longer sessions. Infrared saunas typically operate at lower temperatures (around 100-150°F) compared to traditional saunas (which can reach 150-195°F).
Health benefits include: detoxification, improved circulation, pain relief, stress reduction, and skin health.
Contraindications include: pregnancy, those with certain cardiovascular conditions, people prone to bleeding, fever, heat insensitivity, kidney problems, recent joint injury (within 48 hours), inflammation, infection, diabetes, implanted medical devices, obesity, cedar wood allergies, and medications that could be affected by heat.
Please note: Infrared saunas generally have low EMF levels, typically measured between 5-25 mG (milligauss), which is considered safe and well within recommended exposure limits. EMF stands for electromagnetic fields, which are waves of electric and magnetic energy that radiate through space, emitted by all electronic devices.
This infrared sauna is equipped with chromotherapy.
